Zatvorski rock) je američki crno-bijeli film snimljen 1957. u režiji Richarda Thorpea koji se smatra najuspješnijim od svih ostvarenja u filmografiji Elvisa Presleya. Po žanru predstavlja kombinaciju mjuzikla i drame. Presley u njemu tumači lik Vincea Everetta, mladog građevinskog radnika koji u barskoj tučnjavi slučajno ubije čovjeka te zbog toga na nekoliko godina završi u zatvoru, gdje će se upoznati i sprijateljiti sa bivšim country pjevačem Hunkom Houghtonom (koga tumači Mickey Shaughnessy). Radnja prikazuje kako zahvaljujući vještinama stečenim od prijatelja po izlasku iz zatvora započinje karijeru pjevača, u kojoj će mu pomoći mlada menadžerica Peggy Van Alden (koju tumači Judy Tyler).
Jailhouse Rock je predstavljao treći film u Presleyevoj karijeri, odnosno drugi u kome je nastupio kao glavna zvijezda. Snimljen je relativno brzo od strane studija Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, koji je namjeravao na brzinu eksploatirati naglo stečenu popularnost Presleya i njegovog muzičkog stila - rock and rolla - među američkom omladinom. Za film je napisan niz pjesama, od koje su neke kao Treat Me Nice i Jailhouse Rock postale veliki hitovi. Sam Presley je, pak, sudjelovao kao koreograf u plesno-muzičkoj sceni koja na ironičan način evocira zatvorske dane glavnog junaka, a koja se smatra jednim od najpoznatijih u njegovoj karijeri. Premijera filma je, pak, bila zasjenjena tragedijom do koje je došlo nedugo nakon snimanja, nakon što je Presleyeva partnerica Tyler poginula u prometnoj nesreći.
Jailhouse Rock je nakon premijere postao veliki komercijalni hit i potvrdio status Presleya kao velike hollywoodske zvijezde i pop ikone svog doba. Tadašnji kritičari su, međutim, prema filmu bili neprijateljski raspoloženi. Tek kasnije, a pogotovo u usporedbi sa daleko inferiornijim ostvarenjima iz kasnijih faza Presleyeve karijere, Jailhouse Rock je izgradio reputaciju kvalitetno napravljenog i "autentično presleyevskog" filma.
