Alex George

Alexander Segger George AM (lahir 4 April 1939) adalah botanis Australia Barat. Dia adalah otoritas pada genera tumbuhan Banksia dan Dryandra. Genus Restionaceae "aneh" Alexgeorgea dinamai untuk menghormatinya pada tahun 1976.

Pada tanggal 11 Juni 2012, Dr. George dinamai sebagai Anggota dari Order of Australia untuk "pelayanan untuk konservasi dan lingkungan sebagai seorang botanis, sejarawan dan penulis, terutama dalam area flora Australia, dan melalui peran serta dalam organisasi profesional nasional dan internasional."^[1]
