Agvan Dorzhiev

Agvan Lobsan Dorzhiev, juga Agvan Dorjiev atau Dorjieff dan Agvaandorj (bahasa Rusia: Агван Лобсан Доржиев, bahasa Buryat: Доржиин Агбан, bahasa Tibet Baku: ངག་དབང་བློ་བཟང་; 1853, ulus Khara-Shibir, oblast Zabaykalskaya [ru] — 29 Januari 1938, Ulan-Ude), adalah seorang biksu kelahiran Rusia dari aliran Gelug dari Buddha Tibetan, terkadang disebut dengan gelar kehormatannya sebagai Tsenyi Khempo. Ia lebih dikenal sebagai Sokpo Tsеnshab Ngawang Lobsang (artinya Tsenshab Ngavang Lobsang orang Mongolia) di kalangan Tibetan.^[1]

Ia adalah seorang Buryat Khory yang lahir di desa Khara-Shibir, tak jauh dari Ulan-Ude, timur Danau Baikal.^[2]

Ia adalah mitra kajian dan rekan dekat Dalai Lama ke-13, seorang menteri dari pemerintahannya, dan hubungan diplomatiknya dengan Kekaisaran Rusia. Ia juga dikenal karena membangun kuil Buddha di Sankt-Peterburg pada 1909 dan menandatangani Traktat Tibet-Mongolia pada 1913.
