Toano (Reggiano: Toân; locally Tvân or Tuân) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Reggio Emilia in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) west of Bologna and about 35 kilometres (22 mi) south of Reggio Emilia.
Toano borders the following municipalities: Baiso, Carpineti, Frassinoro, Montefiorino, Palagano, Prignano sulla Secchia, Villa Minozzo. It counts the hamlets (frazioni) of Cavola, Cerrè Marabino, Cerredolo, Frale, Massa di Toano and Quara.
