Purinones
Purinones (oxopurines) are derivatives of purine which have a substituted keto group.[1]
Most are divided into 2 families:
- Hypoxanthines
- Xanthines
Purinones form the central core of numerous pharmaceutical drugs used in a variety therapeutic areas.[2]
