Popovice is a municipality and village in Brno-Country District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 400 inhabitants.

Popovice lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) south of Brno and 192 km (119 mi) south-east of Prague.

The first written mention of Popovice is from 1406.[2]
