PIA Planetarium, Peshawar
PIA Planetarium is a planetarium based in Peshawar. It was inaugurated on April 2, 2011 by the then Minister of Information, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mian Iftikhar Hussain.[1] It is established and worked by the Pakistan International Airlines. It is the third planetarium operated by the PIA in Pakistan, the total cost being roughly 900,000$ at the time.[2]
Controversies
Locals have reported that the planetarium is neglected with most of the rooms being empty, full of cobwebs and the videos that are being used were made in the 1980s.[3]
