Jalovec (Hungarian: Parlag) is a village and municipality in the Prievidza District in the Trenčín Region of western Slovakia.
History
In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1430.
Geography
The municipality lies at an altitude of 345 metres (1,132 ft) and covers an area of 6.022 km2 (2.325 sq mi). It has a population of about 561 people.
