I'll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History: It Seems Turning into a High-Born Baddie Makes the Prince All the More Lovestruck (歴史に残る悪女になるぞ 悪役令嬢になるほど王子の溺愛は加速するようです!, Rekishi ni Nokoru Akujo ni Naru zo: Akuyaku Reijō ni Naru hodo Ōji no Dekiai wa Kasoku suru yō desu!) is a Japanese light novel series written by Izumi Okido and illustrated by Jyun Hayase. It began as a web novel published on the user-generated web novel publishing site Shōsetsuka ni Narō in December 2018. It was later acquired by Enterbrain who began publishing it as a light novel under its B's Log Bunko light novel imprint in August 2019. A manga adaptation illustrated by Akari Hoshi began serialization in Enterbrain's B's Log Comic manga website in May 2020. An anime television series adaptation produced by Maho Film is set to premiere in October 2024.

Alicia Williams (ウィリアムズ・アリシア, Wiriamuzu Arishia)

The protagonist. Having been reborn as the villainess, she strives to be the best she can be at it; especially as the king has hired her to bully Liz in order to push her out of her comfort zone. She gets more invested in the job as Liz has fans who pick fights and bully anyone who isn't following blindly.
Alicia is very compassionate to the less fortunate, having taken in a child from a village people are banished to as her retainer; even giving her eye to an elder who was kind to her.
Duke Seeker (シーカー・デューク, Shīkā Deyūku)
Voiced by: Yuma Uchida[1] (drama CD), Kaito Ishikawa[2] (anime)
Prince of the Kingdom. He is in love with Alicia, but cannot get his intent across. Unlike the other men who were capture targets for Liz in the game, he is annoyed by her and tries to avoid her.

The heroine of the game. Bluntly put, Liz is a moron who thinks like a child; believing "killing is bad". Alicia has magic, but doesn't know; resulting in her unintentionally brainwashing others into agreeing with her views. Alicia tries numerous times to help her grow up mentally, but everyone who got charmed constantly buts in. Worse, Liz almost got Alicia killed; having frozen her while attempting to kill her kidnapper with an axe. The kidnapper almost killed Alicia, but Liz couldn't comprehend her fault.

Light novel

Written by Izumi Okido, Rekishi ni Nokoru Akujo ni Naru zo began serialization as a web novel on the user-generated web novel publishing site Shōsetsuka ni Narō in December 2018. It was then acquired by Enterbrain who began publishing it as a light novel under its B's Log Bunko light novel imprint with illustrations by Jyun Hayase on August 15, 2019. As of March 2024, six volumes have been released. The light novel is licensed in North America by Yen Press.[4]

Manga

A manga adaptation illustrated by Akari Hoshi began serialization on Enterbrain's B's Log Comic manga website on May 5, 2020.[12] It has been collected in four volumes as of August 2023. The manga adaptation is also licensed in North America by Yen Press.[13]

Anime

An anime television series adaptation was announced on August 9, 2023.[19] The series is produced by Maho Film and is directed by Yūji Yanase, with Sawako Hirabayashi handling series scripts, Yūko Watabe and Eri Kojima designing the characters, and Moe Hyūga composing the music.[2] It is set to premiere on Tokyo MX on October 1, 2024.[20] The opening theme song is "Baddududu" performed by Liyuu, while the ending theme song is "Wacchu Ane?" performed by Rin Kurusu.[21] Crunchyroll licensed the series.[22]

Reception

The series as a whole has sold over 850,000 copies in physical and digital releases by August 2023.[19]
