Amma Ammaayiyamma is a 1998 Indian Malayalam-language film directed by Sandhya Mohan and produced by Somasekharan. The film stars Mukesh, Sukanya, Harisree Ashokan, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Sukumari and Meera in the lead roles. The film has its musical score composed by S. P. Venkatesh and original songs by M. S. Viswanathan.[1][2]
Plot
Saratha (Kaviyoor Ponnamma), a retired teacher, has five children, Prabhavati(Sukanya), Premachandran(Harishree Ashokan), Madhavi, Maya and Balachandran.
Madhavi is married to Bharghavan(Innocent) and they have a child. But Madhavi and Narayaniamma(Philomina) (Bhargavan's mother) always makes some small issues each other. Balachandran is a bachelor and doesn't have a job. Prabhavati(Sukanya) marries Shekharankutty(Mukesh), a rich businessman and forgets her family relations after starting her luxurious life with Shekharankutty.Meanwhile , Shekharankutty loves Prabhavathy's family and help them on many circumstances. However, Shekharankutty decides to make her realize the importance of family relationships and ask his aunt to come .
When Shekharankutty's aunt came , then only Prabhavathy realised that all the assests and other luxurious life was owned by aunt not Shekharankutty.Aunt finds that there are many fraud and mistakes on account calculations which made and end for their luxurious life and they moved to Prabhavathy's house. On the other hand, Premachandran marries Renuka, a rich woman. Renuka's mother Vishalakshi doesn't like Premachandran becuase he owns a photo studio which was shame for her since she was very rich . She ask him to stop all his studio and live along with them rather than staying with his family. Renuka makes unwanted nuisance and ego-clash in his family by her mother's order .
One day when Saratha accidentally washed her expensive saree and pushed her which made Balachandran slapped Renuka for pushing his mother. Vishalakshi said if Premachandran want his wife with a family life , he should leave his house and join with them with the car they gifted him , that made Premachandran out of the family.
Maya marries Reghu(Vijayakumar). But Maya is very hurted by her mother-in-law upon dowry and screwed by Vishalakshi. Maya became pregnant and on the way to Hospital Dakshayani asks the auto driver to drive very harshly so Maya gets injured and results in an abortion.
Mohan (Vishalakshi's son and Premachandran's brother in-law) gets married to Rekha. Vishalakshi and Renuka ask Rekha to do house work and started to treat her as a maid.They also took dowry from Rekha.One day Shekharankutty plans to trap all of them for asking dowry and hurting them by informing Enforcement Directorate Dept. with the help of his friend Kaimal(N. F. Varghese). Due to some rivalry issue and afraid that if Rekha complaints about dowry, Vishalakshi kept opened the valve of gas stove and thought of killing her by fire accident by asking her to boil water for Vishalakshi .But Premachandran saw this and called Mohan , Rekha and Renu and tells them about the trap. Four of them escaped from the house and Preman puts fire to Kitchen from outside through window , which caused the Kitchen fire. Without knowing this Vishalakshi thought that Rekha was injured , since she was inside the Kitchen and called them . next day itself Mohan and Rekha move to Rekha's house. Also Premachandran and Renuka leave to his house . Behind them Shanku(Jose Pallissery)(Vishalakshi's husband) also moves out from the house which made Vishalakshi realsied her mistake.At the end all of them realises their mistakes and joins Saratha's house happily.
